Thieves steal jewellery from home in Madeley
Thieves have broken into a Telford home and stole hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery at the weekend.

The break-in happened at an address in Hermitage Way in Madeley some time between 8am on Saturday and 6pm on yesterday.
The thieves forced their way in via the back of the property and made an untidy search of a number of rooms.
Around £800 worth of jewellery was stolen, including a man's gold wedding ring, a man's 9 carat gold buckle ring, a woman's chain gold bracelet, a gold gate bracelet, a gold bracelet with a matching necklace in a very fine design, a white gold bracelet and necklace, which was bought in Jamaica, a gold cross and chain in a presentation box and a heavy link 9 carat gold chunky chain. A 39 year-old bottle of port was also stolen. The port was in a cream coloured whiskey box.
A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating the break-in and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. We believe it is likely the stolen items will be sold on, so we are particularly keen to hear from any traders in the area who are offered any of the items of jewellery for sale."
She added: "We would urge householders to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity they witness within their communities. Support from members of the public is vital in helping keep the areas in which we live safe.
"We would also urge householders to be security conscious and to keep their property safe and secure at all times. Security advice is available on our website www.westmercia.police.uk"
Any information in relation to the burglary should be passed to Telford Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
