Two arrested on suspicion of drug offences in Shrewsbury
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after a suspicious vehicle was reported to police in Shrewsbury.

Officers headed to New Park Road in Castlefields just after 4pm on Tuesday, after a call about suspected drug dealing taking place from a green Mercedes.
The car had left the area by the time police arrived but following a search, was found by officers parked in Castle Foregate.
One man made off from the car on foot as officers approached but was arrested a short distance away in Howard’s Bank. The second occupant was arrested at the car.
Several ‘wraps’ of what is believed to be heroin were recovered along with about £700 in cash. The Mercedes was recovered by police for forensic examination.
Both men, one aged 18 and the other aged 23, remain in custody at this time and will be interviewed on suspicion of possession of Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.
Detective Sergeant Lee Holehouse, from Shrewsbury CID, said West Mercia Police remained committed to dealing with those who blight communities by committing drug offences.
“There has been concern from the Castlefields community in recent months about suspected drug dealing and we are working to deal with those issues,” he said.
“The two men arrested are from the West Midlands area and remain in police custody awaiting interview.
“Information from the public is a vital part of police work and I urge anyone who spots suspicious behaviour where they live or work to call us when it happens on 101.
