Users of the Frankwell Post Office in Shrewsbury are being urged to make their views known on its proposed relocation.

Residents urged to comment on Frankwell Post Office move

The Post Office is currently consulting on whether to relocate Frankwell Post Office that operates out of 15-16 New Street to the Roundabout Newsagents at number 3 New Street.

If the move goes ahead it will change to a new local style premises from January 2014, with longer opening hours and better accessibility.

Daniel Kawczynski MP said:

“It is really important that residents make their views known to the Post Office on this relocation proposal. The public consultation exercise runs from 25 October until 6 December and people are being asked to consider the following issues.

• How suitable the new location and premises are and how easy it is to get there?
• Are the new premises easy to get into and is the inside easily accessible?
• Concerns about the new location and suggestions to make it better?
• Any local community issues which could be affected by the proposed move.

"There is an on-line questionnaire at www.postofficeviews.co.uk and when entering the site you will be asked to enter the code for this branch which is 18164199. Comments can also be emailed to comments@postoffice.co.uk.”
