PRH A&E to temporarily move during essential work
Work to replace the flooring in the Emergency Department at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford will be taking place this week.
The essential work will be carried out overnight on Wednesday and Thursday and during the weekend to minimise any impact on patients, visitors and staff.
As part of the work the A&E Department will temporarily relocate to the Day Surgery Unit over the weekend.
From 9pm on Friday until Monday morning signs will be in place to direct people to use the Day Surgery entrance at PRH until the work is completed. Signs will also be in place for any changes to access from within the hospital.
Dr Adrian Marsh, Emergency Medicine Consultant at the Trust, said:
“While this essential improvement work is carried out we will temporarily be asking people to use the Day Surgery entrance to the hospital rather than the public A&E entrance over the weekend, but apart from that it will be business as usual. We apologise for any inconvenience caused while this work is carried out.”
