Police investigating a robbery in Brookside, Telford have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to.

The robbery happened between 3:30pm and 3:45pm on Thursday 12 March when the victim, a bus driver, was driving the bus through Brookside when she stopped at a bus stop adjacent to Bembridge.

A man got onto the bus and handed over money for the bus fair to the driver, as is policy the note was checked with an ultra violet torch which showed the note was counterfeit.

At which point, the man reached through the gap in the plastic security glass of the driver's cabin and grabbed the bus driver's hand which was holding the money and took the money back from her as well as a handful of £1 coins.

The man then exited the bus and ran off in the direction of Brookside.

The suspect is described as a white man around 5 foot 7 and of a slim build. He is described as having dark brown hair with a long fringe, he was wearing a dark top and dark trousers.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident 433 of Thursday 12 March.

Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
