A collision involving a lorry and a car this afternoon closed the A5 near Oswestry.

Collision closes A5 near Oswestry

The crash occurred close to Oswestry Golf Club near Queenshead on the A5 at just before 5pm.

A male casualty was released from one of the vehicles by fire service personnel.

The A5 was closed in both directions between Mile End and Queenshead.
