Four way lights to be removed from Shawbirch Roundabout today
Temporary four way traffic lights on Shawbirch Roundabout will be removed by the end of today.

The lights will be removed nearly two weeks ahead of schedule after contractor McPhillips pulled out all the stops to get the work done and traffic moving more freely.
Road reconstruction works on the island had caused delays for motorists, but the lights will be taken down after only being in place for six days.
Councillor Angela McClements, Telford & Wrekin Council’s cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services, said: “We know that this work has caused a lot of frustration for motorists but hopefully everyone will recognise that it was unavoidable and that we have pulled out all the stops to get it done as quickly as possible.
“We originally anticipated that we would be on site until December 23 so to be completed virtually two weeks ahead of schedule is very pleasing. Work will now continue on finishing off the roundabout, with it expected to be completed by the end of January.”
Shawbirch Roundabout is one of six roundabouts that are being upgraded across the borough as part of the Telford Growth Point package.
The work is funded by a combination of Marches Local Enterprise Partnership funding and Section 106 contributions from developers.
It is aimed at improving capacity to ensure the road network is capable of coping with anticipated increases in traffic levels as a result of significant inward investment.
