The burglary happened at a property on Furnace Lane in Trench on Wednesday.

Police say that at around 12.30pm, two offenders broke into the property. It's believed prior to the offence, three males distracted staff in a shop on the same road.

The offenders are described as five men, with Eastern European accents, wearing 'smart casual' clothing. Three of them were believed to be wearing baseball caps, and one was wearing a grey puffa jacket.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the offence or any suspicious behaviour in the area to contact 101, quoting incident number 298s of 27 March 2019.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
