Police appeal for witnesses to collision between Shrewsbury and Welshpool
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A458 between Welshpool and Middletown on Friday night.
Investigating officers would like to speak to witnesses or anyone with information that could help establish the circumstances.
A blue Citroen Saxo was driving from Welshpool towards Shrewsbury when it collided with a red Fiat 500 on the oncoming lane at around 11.20pm. The Fiat hit an electrical pole, causing power outages to nearby properties.
A short time later, a silver Renault Clio ravelling from the Welshpool direction collided with the front of the Saxo. The driver of the Saxo sustained serious injuries. The driver and passengers in the Fiat were taken to hospital.
Anyone who saw any of the three vehicles before the incident, particularly anyone with dashcam footage, is asked to get in touch with Dyfed-Powys Police. Call 101, quoting Storm reference 395 of January 24.
